How old was Abraham when he left Haram for the Promised Land?
Genesis 11:26, "After Terah had lived 70 years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran."
Genesis 11:32, "Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Haran."
Genesis 12:4, "So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran."
Acts 7:4, "So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living."
Genesis 12:4 plainly states that Abraham was seventy-five years old when he left Haran, however, according to calculations based on Genesis chapter 11 and Acts 7:4, he may have been over 135.
"Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth."
(Ecclesiastes 7:3-4, KJV)
"Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun."
(Ecclesiastes 8:15, KJV)
